A Passion for Design

David started David Turner Companies in 2000 with a passion for classical architecture design and building.   After graduation from Ole Miss he went to the University of Memphis in the Masters in City and Regional Planning program.  This lead to a number of years working in commercial land development where he became a student of New Urbanism after attending his first town planning event in 1993.

David Turner Companies began in renovation but quickly added custom new construction.  In 2003 he developed Fondren Green, a small in-fill development in one of the city’s beloved neighborhoods which also was one ofJackson, MS first New Urbanism projects.  Fondren Green was an opportunity for David to design and build many of the homes in his development, combining a wide array of his interest and talents in one project.

David Turner Companies was in the beginning stages of the Lost Rabbit development, the regions first Tradition Neighborhood Development.  He built a number of the homes, as well as parts of the commercial areas in the marina.   David has developed and built out other developments and is currently working on a Town Center development in Jackson.  As his company has grown it remains a close knit group of professionals with a passion for making people’s lives better through the places we design and build.  We work closely with our clientele always striving to understand their lives and create places of lasting beauty and permanence.

Since his company began numerous projects have been published as well as have won a number of awards.  Most recently from the Home Building Association of MS where it has won the Best Renovation in the state for the past 3 years, the Best Custom over 5,000 sq/ft 4 of the past 5 years as well as the Grand Award for a home in Lost Rabbit.

David and his wife Amy live in Ridgeland with their three children.  When David is not working you will find him fly fishing, cycling or involving his family in an adventure.
